This volume covers the amazing developments in the last six months of the Savior's life.
During this brief period, we encounter a broad vista of scriptural surprises.
For example, we discover that during the crisis connected with the last week in the Savior's
life, all of the apostles lost their testimonies. Jesus knew this would happen, and at the Last Supper
He told Peter that when he was reconverted he should strengthen his brethren.
We also find that all during the Savior's ministry, the apostles were anxiously expecting a cataclysmic
event that was not scheduled on the Father's prophetic timetable until approximately 2,000
years later.
It seems very strange that in spite of all of the Savior's marvelous miracles, His half-brothers
rejected Him during His ministry. However, in the end, they all accepted Jesus as their Savior, and
one of them became an apostle.
The Savior's prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane created the greatest crisis in His entire
existence. In this volume we learn what would have happened to all of us if Jesus had chosen to
reject the cruel and terrifying ordeal on the cross. One prophet even describes what would have happened to Jesus
himself if He had refused to complete His mission as our Redeemer.
We learn the fascinating things the apostles were taught during the forty days between the
resurrection and the ascension. As a result, the apostles were able to launch their ministry to the
world with a whole new manual of instructions for the Kingdom of God on earth.
Students of the scriptures recognize the New Testament as one of the greatest scriptures ever
written, but even those who have read it a number of times may still find new and exciting insights.
